Fixed WMV, PATCHES?! + Blood Elf High
Heyyy y'alllllll
So I understand the impending problems that machinimaists will come across when they open up wow model viewer. For those who haven't that backed up their WoW folder before prepatch you'll have an error when you first open WMV. It's a scary error, errors machinimasts don't want to see...
ever...
So hopefully in this week or the next I'll post a tutorial on how to fix that issue. I've just been busy casting people in Blood Elf High.
That's right BEH's back, and I'm recasting voice actors! I've already have a few casted, if you haven't checked out my recent video you should do so if you're interested in voice acting, I'm not very picky on how good you are, because I'm not either haha
What's this you say? You notice Sin'dorei in Japanese school uniform girl outfits just like the ones in High School of the dead? Lol, it's a patch that I gotten waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay *breaths* waaaaaaaay long time ago. I'm not sure where I found this patch, but I remember I didn't have fun downloading it c_c...
What are patches?
Well for some machinimaists that date back all the way to BC you've probably seen these before even the ones in Lich and Cata.
Patches are like skins or mods people would use for fun. Sorta like Minecraft mods or other mods.
Like the photo above thats what you would call a mod.
Mod stands for modification, other mods machinimaist have used is like...
The hair patch where it makes certain hairstyles appear longer
Or the blush patch where it makes any female ( I think its only female) have blush on the cheeks.
The famous clothing patch where you can have certain types of clothing that's unique and not what you've seen in WoW before. I think this was the highlight and what everyone wanted to know where to get it, how to get it.
Patches were a great thing and enabled a lot of machinimasts to incorporate a little bit more style in their videos, yeah tons of people used them back then, but it was common culture then. Still is now,
I remember opening WMV when WOD alpha came out and I just had a total miniature break down. I was sad that I was no longer able to put patches inside WMV. I'm sure there is a way but its through animation and shit and ugh I got no time for that. lol
Anyway, thanks to a person that give me a tip on how to use the old WMV I've been able to use patches again ^^. It brings back total nostalgia you have no idea, going back through all my old patches/mods/skins, I'm glad that I didn't delete any, cause I knew deep down that they would be another way for this to work again.
So in BEH they will be patches used, and I know I'll get comments regarding how I was able to use the old WMV without problems.
I'm sure once I have a few of my other projects out of the way that'll upload a how to video. It's going to be awhile though considering the workload I have right now and senior class pictures next week.

The reason why I decided to bring BEH back is because I could tell people liked it, even with subtitles I think adding voice acting will be really cool, but also really challenging for me. I would have to direct for the first time, I'm not directing myself anymore when I machinimate, I am now directing my actors in my series.
Also, BEH's has a funny concept in my opinion. Blood Elves are somewhat looked down upon because how girly they look, including the men. I always liked blood elves and I always had a hard time machinimaing with other races. Because I'm just so used to Blood Elves. BUT, I have made an effort to put some diversity in my videos.
