 Robin Rhode

Slide show with music overlayed. The images are of graffti with the illustraion being drawn on a flat surface, the art resembles the moment of the person also photographed in the image.

This creates a sense of depth but also adds an extension of art within art.

Thom York - Harrowdown Hill

This video is edited in a way that compliments the motion of the music. The utilize sped up video clips, time lapses, stop motion, erratic camera movement to all help simulate motion.

  • Even so, some clips are slowed down, allowing for the visual elements to breath, same goes for the people who are watching this video.

I am (NOT) Van Gough

Similar to the last, filmmaker shows how creativity does not have a structure, and sometimes, they'll be moments where it'll be difficult to come up with something. The theme is anything that comes to mind.

  • However, they are some video editing techniques that are prominent in this short film, stop motion time lapses, as well as sped up video.
  • The point of the film is to confuse us, also confuse the filmmaker and overall question our reality and how we think.
These films we watched, wanted to teach us about the art behind not only animation and illustration, but time most importantly, and how to creativity manipulate it.
