The Howling

I have to give credit to this machinima, it was one of my first machinimas completely moving away from everything I knew from Sony Vegas, and branching out to a new editing software, of course everything is much better and the effects are better etc. But machinimaists, especially newer ones just need to take time with After Effects, it's a meticulous program that needs fiddling with.  Like when you get a new camera or electronic, you need to play around with it until you are comfortable with. I see so many machinimaists today misusing After Effects, meaning they are not using it to it's full potential. That was me for awhile, back in like 2013 I had no idea about green screens and blue screens, so I would lower the opacity of a shot I recorded in fraps of a character etc. It was bad times and I should probably do a video on it... It wasn't until this video where I learned about the power of chroma keying etc.

I just feel like it's good to explore a certain program before moving off to another, then you'll have a better understanding how to create. Where you want to etc. Don't get me wrong I still use Sony Vegas for laying the foundation of my machinima's and I use AE to just create the scenes. I prefer Sony Vegas over Premier Pro because the layout is more expandable and less tight. That's only a preferences though.

Take all my opinions into consideration, my words aren't law but they are just a few things that I picked up when growing my motivation for machinimating. For short term take my opinion with a grain of salt. Find the best avenues for you to help you learn about machinimating. :) I am always here if you want a second opinion, I just won't help you illegally download AE from like a torrent xD... (I pay for creative cloud, fite me fam)
