The Story of Ravana & Nana

Only 2 weeks ago I uploaded a new machinima called Ravana & Nana since then I've gotten 1,300 views on it. So I thank you all for that firstly.

TWO MONTHS AGO. I uploaded a new machinima called "Ravana & Nana" since then I've gotten 4,700+ views on it.

Who are Ravana and Nana?

  • To start off: Ravana (the black haired woman) and Nana (the white-haired girl) are mother and daughter. (Surprising? Not really)

Before you go off saying, but Nana looks nothing like her mother. Well, haven't you heard the saying daughters look like their fathers and sons look like their mothers? So, in this case, Nana looks like her dad.

  • Ravana and Nana both have an eye disparity, as they age their eyes change color and soon they'll both go blind by the age of 30. At the beginning of the machinima when Nana we see her with her natural elven eyes but as she progresses into a woman her eyes become blue. Ravana's eyes already went from green > blue > and now you almost have seen her eyes are completely white. She wears an eyepatch before that eye is already blind.

Secondly, Ravana and Nana have the same colored hair, but it doesn't appear in the machinima.

  • Originally, Nana's hair when she was born was strawberry-blonde (or orange) but as she grew up her hair has turned white.

Nana has the same attributes has her mother, like her mother she craves danger and desires to be stronger more and more every single day, which why she chooses to train. She doesn't understand why her father frowns down upon her because of it, his reason being is because it almost cost his wife and Nana's mother -- Ravana, her life. The one thing that he most feared resulted in his own passing.

The Void

Is a group of elite assassins' that Ravana has dangerously involved herself in. Now you must think that Ravana is a horrible mother for involving her own family into such a militant group that prays on the vulnerable and hunts on wealthy. To protect her daughter, Ravana left her daughter at a very young age to "pursue" her ugly intendancies.

Years later

At the dawn of Nana's father's awakening, Ravana appears from the hillside watching above over her daughter and her beloved. When Nana went to retrieve a bouquet of her father's favorite flowers, comes back to a mysterious woman that had an eyepatch over one of her eyes. Looking down at the grave, Ravana clutches her fist knowing that she is the one to blame. Nana, unaware of this person identity, the only thing that this woman has to her name is the crest dark guild's tabard. "The Void" enraged, Nana rushes to end this intruder before they proceed any further violently.
A flash of light and Ravana is gone.
Ravana flees from the run-in with a memory left stoned in her mind. A picture of her daughter and her beloved husband.

Back at the guild's hiding place Ravana comes to the meeting late, very unlike her, the master greets her with a "You're late." but didn't scold her. Since being one of the guild's best, she along with Hans. Our next character, and troublesome of the fact. To his advantage, Hans discovered a truth among Ravana and decided to use it against her, for his own leisure. At one of the various "meeting," Ravana had enough of what he said and almost killed him on the spot. Days earlier she received a message delievered by hawk (noincludeded in the machinima) by her daughter Nana. Nana wanted to meet, Ravana not sure why but she didn't want to pass up an opportunity to meet with her daughter. She and days past left Hans unharmed. Days past even more and the guild began to worry, worry if Ravana was killed on a job or walked out. But as if lightning had passed through the guild's hideout, they were all dead within seconds. Nana taking after her mother in skill and adaptability. They both got what they wanted, though Nana remains clueless of the fact of Ravana's true idenity is. Not knowing why Ravana agreed with her scheme, Nana remains clueless to this day as they both work together in whatever they wish to pursue.

The sad ending to this story is that not only Ravana's blindness will continue to pursue as well as Nana's.  But the fact that Ravana wants to remain in the shadows of her true identity, she cannot comprehend facing her daughter now. A father's love is strong, but a mother's love runs deep. A taste of revenge is too sweet to bear.

There is a moral to this story, and it's tough. And some of you may not agree with me. But this is how I feel: We may want to escape ourselves, escape our past and our future. So we set out to demolish any strings attached to life and begin to mold ourselves into a shroud of nothingness. Not really realizing about the people that care for us, for the people that love us, for the people that made use to what we are right or wrong.

  1. I didn't really understand the machinima at first. Glad this cleared it up, and I LOVE writting stories :D. I usually try to put a meaning to it or morale, this was a decent one :). - Kritanea
